Mum of 35 provides her Experiences and Results of a Boob Job

A Mother of three Lucy Hutchings, 35, from Chelmsford, Essex had a Breast Enlargement operation and now gives her account of the thoughts and desires that crossed her mind during the entire process.

“As a mother of three children, whom it literally feels that they ‘sucked the life’ out of my boobs when breast feeding them for a total of nearly four years, I started to think about the idea of getting a boob job to bring back that young feeling as well as my confidence again.

During the pregnancy of all my three children I luckily had large and full breasts, almost to a size of 38DD, but once the breast feeding had finished they shrank back to nothing. When I mean nothing, I mean I had to wear extra padding in bras and that wasn’t just the small padding either, I was using padding the size of chicken breasts!

Boob Job: Before Image

I was at a point where I felt nervous about getting changed in public swimming pools and even my husband. Luckily my husband is very open about all subjects and I was able to discuss the subject with him and we both talked about the prospect of having a boob job, or some sort of breast augmentation that would re-align them to make them look and feel fuller again.

One of the other mums at the school that my children go to had recently had an enlargement and she let me see the results a couple of months after the operation, ‘That’s it. I’m going to go for it.’ was my thoughts after seeing her breasts.

I had the money saved up in my bank account and felt that, as I was only on the planet once I wanted to be happy with myself while I was here. I contacted the same surgeon that my friend from my children’s friend had used and arranged to have a consultation.

Just before the operation I had an increase in nerves and I started to think about all the things that could or might possibly go wrong, was I making the correct decision, was I being selfish and only thinking about myself. I had reassured myself that this will bring back a more confident me and will allow me to be old self again and not the woman who had started to hide away and become insecure.

When I awoke from the operation I immediately felt very groggy, but was as excited as a teenager on a first date. I took a sneak peek under the covers to see what had happened. The first thing I noticed was how sore I felt and then I saw the drips on each side and it was also uncomfortable trying to sit up.

I found that I was unable to drive or lift anything for about a week, so I had to have my youngest child stay at my parents to allow me to recover. I was given painkillers, but only after a week the pain dropped and I only felt uncomfortable when I touched by breasts, then the swelling went down after a couple of weeks.

It did take me a while to get used to my new, firmer and fuller boobs, but in truth I am now so pleased with them. They certainly make me feel better about myself and I have now regained all of my confidence, especially with my husband and our newly reawakened sex life!

If you are hanging on the garden fence, thinking about getting a boob job I would say just go for, in my experience the positives have far outweighed the negatives.”
